How long does Botox/Dysport last?

Botox or Dysport lasts on average 3 to 6 months. Individual results vary based on multiple factors including metabolism, lifestyle, and medications.

How long does filler last?

Dermal filler (Juvederm or Restylane) lasts on average about 6 to 9 months and some firmer fillers can last up to 1-2 years. This can vary based on individual factors as well. 

Is there downtime?

You can expect minimal bruising. Most people return to everyday activities immediately. I advise patients to stay upright after Botox/ Dysport for 4-5 hours and not do anything strenuous for the rest of the day.

How long does it take for the Botox or Dysport to work?

Botox and Dysport will start to work immediately, however maximum effect is two weeks.

Is Botox/Dysport painful?

The procedure is not considered painful. Most patients report a brief period of a pinch of discomfort during the injection that dissipates one the procedure is complete.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

A week before the procedure, we advise stopping alcohol consumption, decreasing fish oils, and taking arnica prior to your appointment. If you have any questions, please contact us.
